Jean Seville Suffield

Jean Seville Suffield has been in the education field for most of her career. She has worked as a teacher, in-school administrator, Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent.  Her early experience in business offered her a global view of systems and an understanding of the change process.  Her enthusiasm for school improvement and “change” has given her the opportunity, as a trainer, consultant and author, to work in Canada, the United States, Ireland, Australia, South America, South Korea, South Africa, Singapore and the Kingdom of Bahrain in the Middle East.

Jean holds a Master of Arts degree from Concordia University, a Bachelor of Education degree and completed course work toward a Ph.D. from the Université de Montréal, a Leadership Certificate from McGill, and a Master Certification Diploma in Brain-Based Learning and Teaching with the Jensen Learning Corporation. Jean continues to promote and support the ideas of Dr. William Glasser and uphold the policies of The William Glasser Institute as a senior faculty member.  Jean’s latest accomplishment is that of Certified Biofeedback Specialist with the Natural Therapies Certification Board in Canada.  Jean is presently a mentor-in-training with Miruspoint that helps people reach their full potential by helping them to remove obstacles in their life’s path and discover their authentic identity.

Jean incorporates brain-compatible learning and teaching strategies in all presentations and training. Her instructional approach is highly practical and interactive to help individuals begin to integrate and personalize their learning through a wide variety of involvement activities and discussion sessions. Teaching is her first love and “it's wonderful to be able to take hold of one’s own schedule and have fun with it.” Jean has authored Conflict Resolution: Activities for Classroom Use - Creating a Learning EnvironmentAction . . . take 1: Self-Evaluation and the Student-Led Conference, The Philosopher’s Circle: Visionary Leadership with Richard Coutu, A Role-Play Notebook: Questions that really make a difference! and 10 Steps to Dynamic Leadership: Practical models for immediate use!   She is now working on a series entitled  20/20 + which covers a wide variety of questioning techniques that challenge the brain in the areas of choice theory®, reality therapy, lead management, brain-based ideas and other related fields.
